We can’t but admire the creativity, patience and precision that led to the production of this video. The tiniest of all catapults ever pelts with bull’s eye precision a series of insects that, given the dimensions of the action, seem gargantuan. The projectiles are tiny pies, giving this “Millimetres Matter” experiment a slapstick element, all supported by a great audio track. Chapeau!
We really like this video, produced by David Bergman. In his blog, he tell us that it was commissioned by a young athlete’s parents to send along with a college application. Bergamn decided to do something, “that was more ‘NFL Films’ than ‘Public Access’”.
“Thomas Noesner, our DoP, was in New York for a shoot of the new Mercedes R-Class. Right after the job, he took his camera and strolled through the busting streets of „The City“. While screening the pictures of a drummer in the tube station, I had the idea of creating a „remix“ of the recorded drum sequence to use it as a soundtrack for the film. That´s when our sounddesigner Toussaint came into play… We composed a track around the drum beat of this guy. Watch and listen to the beat of New York!”
